Lucia Noir is an eight-bedroom estate on the marina side of Pedregal, above Cabo San Lucas, sleeping up to 24. It is one of the largest private houses in the community, and it runs with a full-day chef, a daily butler and daily housekeeping included in the stay. The orientation is east, over the Cabo San Lucas marina and the Sea of Cortez, so mornings are the event here and you watch the fishing fleet leave from the terrace. Lucia Noir is built for the size of group that usually has to book two houses. Eight bedrooms, eight and a half baths, and a maximum of 24 guests, laid out across enough separate living rooms, terraces and entertainment areas that people can disappear from each other for an afternoon. It is one of the largest private villas in Pedregal. A full-day chef and a daily butler come with the house, so the practical work of feeding and running a group that size is not yours.

Marina side of Pedregal

Pedregal is the gated hillside at the tip of Cabo San Lucas, 24/7 security on the gate, steep streets and big lots. The Pacific side gets the sunsets. The marina side, where Lucia Noir sits, gets the morning sun and looks over the harbour and the Sea of Cortez instead, and it is the more residential half. Everything is downhill and short: the marina about 6 minutes, Medano Beach 8, Puerto Paraiso 7, Edith's about 6 and The Cape 7. Infinity pool over the marina

The infinity pool looks east over the marina and the Sea of Cortez, and the terraces step down in tiers, which gives a large group several different places to sit rather than one deck everyone has to share. There is an outdoor entertainment and dining area sized for the house rather than for a couple. Morning is the best hour out here, when the fishing fleet runs out of the harbour below and the sun comes up over the water. The marina six minutes below is the reason many groups take this house: yacht charters, fishing trips and excursions all leave from there, and the concierge books them. Quivira is 12 minutes for golf. Medano, 8 minutes down, is the swimmable beach for a day off the hill. In the house itself the entertainment areas and the tiered terraces carry the evening and the chef handles dinner. Events are permitted up to 75 guests with advance approval, and the concierge coordinates the catering, decor and entertainment that goes with them.
