Palais Eliah is a twelve-bedroom estate on ten thousand square meters off the Fes Road, sleeping twenty-four. It is built to palace proportions and the architecture borrows from traditional Moroccan palace design: fountains at a gated entrance, a paved courtyard, grand arches and open-air corridors linking the wings. The interiors go the other way, all-white minimalism with Moroccan accents, caramel leather Togo sofas, walnut headboards, tadelakt bathrooms and statement pendants, and the formal dining hall seats twenty-four, which is the whole house at one table. Twelve bedrooms each have their own bathroom. Outside there is a green-tiled pool, padel and tennis courts, and a full hammam block holding a sauna, a massage room and a plunge pool. The drive out the Fes Road passes the suburban edge of Marrakech and moves into open country: olive groves, walled estates, red-earth farmland. Palais Eliah sits thirty-five minutes from the Medina on a private plot surrounded by groves, behind a gated entrance with fountains that opens onto a paved courtyard. The distance is a real trade and worth understanding before booking. The upside is a compound that feels genuinely rural and completely private. The downside is that a run into the souks is a seventy minute round trip, so most groups treat the city as a day out and not an evening habit. A group of twenty-four does not need to leave, and most do not, much. Padel and tennis fill the mornings, the pool takes the middle of the day, the hammam and massage room run through the afternoon, and the cinema covers the evening. Traditional hammam sessions with a scrub and a massage are booked through our concierge team. When the group does go out, the Agafay Desert is forty minutes and the Atlas foothills thirty-five, both better as full days.
