Tullio Abbate is one of the great names in Italian offshore powerboating, a Lake Como yard with a racing pedigree and a long association with the Villa d'Este set. This 12-metre hull carries that DNA: a deep-V bottom bred for open-water speed and a ride that stays composed when the afternoon breeze puts a chop on the coast. What sets her apart in the fleet is the way she runs. She is the sporting hull of the group, built to cross to Capri quickly and hold a confident line doing it, with a 35-knot top end and a poise that lighter day boats do not have.

The Route

The day runs west from Salerno along the Divine Coast. Positano climbs off the bow, Nerano and the Punta Campanella coves sit around the headland, and the Li Galli islands, the mythical home of the sirens, anchor the crossing. Her pace makes Capri feel close: the Faraglioni sea stacks and the island grottos are an easy target, with Amalfi and the Emerald Grotto at Conca dei Marini on the way home. The captain sets the route around the swell, and the deep-V hull gives options on days a softer boat would sit out.

On the Water

Fast between anchorages, relaxed once you stop. The captain finds the calmest coves for swim stops, with snorkelling near the rocks and quick re-boarding. A Bluetooth stereo for your own soundtrack, towels aboard, and the removable sun shade for the midday sun. Dry snacks and soft drinks are included; a lunch ashore at Nerano or Conca dei Marini can be arranged on request.

Boarding & Transfers

A private Mercedes minivan transfer to and from the marina is included, so charter day skips the coast-road traffic and parking. Departure is from Salerno Marina d'Arechi, the fleet base. A licensed captain runs the boat throughout. This is a day charter, no overnight, returning to the marina by evening.
