Villa Saha has two kinds of water within a block of each other. The Intracoastal runs along the back of the plot with a private dock on it, and the Atlantic beach sits one street away on foot. Between them is a low, glass-walled house with a designer pool and spa set into a garden dense enough to read as a screen. Four bedrooms, one of which is a separate guest house with its own kitchen.

Fort Lauderdale Beach

This stretch of Fort Lauderdale is the calm half: north of the Las Olas strip, backing onto Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, with the beach on one side and the Intracoastal waterway on the other. The park next door means mangrove and hammock trails rather than another row of houses, which is why the plot gets away with being this quiet so close to the sand.

Inside the house

Glass walls put the water in front of the living and dining areas, which run into a relaxed open kitchen rather than a formal one. A media room takes the group off the main floor in the evening. Every bedroom is en-suite, and the fourth sits in a guest house tucked into the planting with a kitchen of its own, which makes it a genuinely separate unit rather than an annexe.
